About The Restored Stitch

Hello, I'm Albert Ayala, founder of The Restored Stitch.

For more than 25 years, I've built my career leading teams, solving problems, and maintaining equipment. Much of that time was spent managing and repairing the mechanical and electrical systems that keep commercial operations running every day.

My interest in sewing machine repair began at home. Over the years, I helped my wife with her sewing machines and developed an appreciation for the craftsmanship and history behind these remarkable tools. What started as curiosity grew into a passion for bringing neglected machines back to life.

Today, I am professionally training in sewing machine repair while building The Restored Stitch. My goal is simple: provide honest, dependable service and help sewing enthusiasts keep the machines they love operating for years to come.
